+ Long time, no post +
I'm sorry I left a big, gaping hole in this blog. Last week at work involved just barely treading water, and I definitely didn't have time to post. I really still don't, but I feel I must since you're growing so darned fast!

Dr.'s Appointment, last Monday 6/23: You are doing great! You weighed 12 pounds 2.5 ounces, which is about the 25th percentile. Your doctor was very happy with that and wants me to keep exclusively bf'ing you until 6 months if possible. You were 24.5 inches long, 50th percentile. Good growing, baby girl! You're such a healthy, beautiful baby. And so happy!

You laugh constantly and for about a week and a half now you wake up every morning and talk to "the baby in the mirror" for about 1/2 hour. I wake up to your babbling each morning, and it just makes me giggle every time.

You are sitting really well, still with support, of course. And the doctor confirmed that you're teething. Duh. Who knows when they'll really break through, but they're right there. You are such a roller, I can't leave you alone anymore on a couch or anywhere raised. You like to sit in your high chair, recently assembled, and watch me cook or clean the kitchen. Yesterday you were having a field day, smacking the toys on your stroller over and over and over.

You're a charmer; you smile at most anyone (if you're in a good mood). Then you do this cute shy smile dodge, ducking your head off to the side as you giggle. Very adorable. You love to be held... by anyone. You're still painfully social, hating to be left alone at all. But you have a pretty long attention span when you want to. And you LOVE TV. Moreso all the time. Fabulous.

So, in all, we're doing great. I'm proud of myself for making it 18.5 weeks of breastfeeding you, 10 of those while working full-time. I'm proud of you for growing and learning so much so fast. I'm proud of daddy for the wonderful daddy he is. And I'm proud of all the grandparents for being so endlessly supportive and loving. I'm grateful every day for my wonderful family. And you are only making it richer. I love you, baby girl!
