When you're pregnant, everyone dates off of your last menstrual period, or "LMP." Everything you do, everything they tell you, it's all based off of your LMP. Technically, when I was pregnant with you, my real LMP was 5/31/02. But I had a long cycle, so it was officially 6/7/02. That was a year ago on Saturday. This time last year, I was in the first of the 2 weeks before you're pregnant that technically count in the 40 weeks of pregnancy.

In other words, the egg that was to meet up with the sperm and become you was getting into position to make that magic dance happen. And what a good little egg and happy little sperm those were. They did a darned good job, if I may say so.
